ESA Gaming launches celestial-themed slot Secret of Selene
ESA Gaming has added Secret of Selene, a Greek mythology-inspired slot with expanding reels and cascading wins, to its game portfolio.
ESA Gaming has released Secret of Selene, a new online slot themed around Greek mythology and the moon, as part of its expanding games catalogue.
The title starts on a 3x3 grid with 27 pay ways, requiring symbols to land left to right to create winning combinations. Winning symbols are cleared from the reels, triggering a cascading wins mechanic that lets further symbols drop into place to create additional wins.
Expanding grid mechanic
Crescent moon symbols function as expansion icons, capable of adding an extra reel either to the side or top of the grid depending on their orientation. The grid can grow to a maximum of 5x5, unlocking 3,125 ways to win as the cascade sequence continues. Once no further wins are possible, the grid resets to its original 3x3 size.
The game includes two bonus modes triggered by scatter symbols. Landing three or more Gold Star Scatters activates the Full Moon Respins, awarding three spins with coin multipliers ranging from 2x to 100x. Additional modifiers, such as collect symbols, expanding symbols and multipliers, can also appear during this feature, with the spin count resetting whenever a new symbol lands.
Five or more Gold Star Scatters instead trigger the Blood Moon Respins, a higher-value bonus mode that doubles multipliers up to 200x and begins with the grid already at its maximum 5x5 size. In select jurisdictions, players have the option to buy directly into either bonus feature.
Part of wider release schedule
Secret of Selene is the latest addition to ESA Gaming’s slots lineup, with the supplier planning to launch three more titles before the end of the year.
Josefin Uppeke, Head of Game Production at ESA Gaming, said the title blends a mythological theme with fast-paced cascading gameplay, highlighting the game’s expanding reels, dual respin bonuses and maximum win potential of 5,000x. She added that the release builds on the company’s portfolio of non-traditional casino content.
ESA Gaming, founded in 2009, is known for its EasySwipe mobile-first game family, designed to integrate into sportsbooks alongside traditional casino slots and table games.
