Games Global and PokerStars stage live casino tournament at EPT Cyprus
iGaming supplier Games Global partnered with PokerStars Casino to bring bespoke slot title Piggy Bank Job Gold Blitz to a live tournament at the European Poker Tour in Cyprus.
Games Global and PokerStars Casino hosted an exclusive live tournament at the European Poker Tour in Cyprus, giving players the chance to play the bespoke slot title Piggy Bank Job Gold Blitz in person for the first time.
The event formed part of the Players’ Party on 14 October, where attendees competed for prizes while engaging with the two companies’ joint game offering.
The game and the format
Piggy Bank Job Gold Blitz was created exclusively for PokerStars Casino by Games Global in partnership with Fortune Factory studio, and originally launched in 2023. The title runs on a 6-reel, 4-row grid with 4,096 ways to win, and centres on collecting Cash Coins and Jackpot Cash Coins that can trigger features including Cash Collect. Free spins are also available, with players able to unlock up to 50 spins during winning rounds.
At the Cyprus event, the top three players progressed to a final round staged on a 13-metre LED screen in a live casino format. The winner received a PokerStars $2,500 Silver Power Pass, redeemable for regional live events or online play, while other participants competed for merchandise prizes.
Industry comment
Rupert Dix, interim chief revenue officer at Games Global, said close relationships with operators such as PokerStars allow the supplier to design bespoke content matched to specific player bases, citing Piggy Bank Job Gold Blitz as an example of content tailored to drive engagement.
Cedric Billot, associate director of live events operations at PokerStars, said the European Poker Tour aims to support PokerStars Casino by working with casino partners at live events to broaden player experiences, adding that the company plans to offer more such exclusive opportunities in future.
The collaboration forms part of ongoing efforts by both companies to extend casino content into live poker tour environments, combining in-person events with digital casino gaming formats.
