GBG adds Realeyes face checks to GBG Go to stop multi-account bonus abuse

The London-listed identity company's first two joint tools flag duplicate sign-ups before a promotion is paid out and recheck the account holder after a device change or unusual withdrawal.

Identity and fraud prevention company GBG has partnered with Realeyes to build face verification into its GBG Go platform, with promo abuse prevention one of the first two capabilities. The partnership was announced on 28 October 2026, and the first joint capabilities are available through GBG Go from October 2026.

Realeyes’ technology uses a three-second selfie to confirm that a real, unique person is present, and returns a reusable face credential instead of a stored image, according to the release.

One face, one account

The first capability, promo abuse prevention, uses face uniqueness to flag duplicate sign-ups at registration, so that multi-account bonus abuse can be stopped before a promotion is paid out. The second, reverification, triggers a face check at risky moments such as a device change, an unusual withdrawal or an account recovery request, to confirm the account holder is still the person who opened the account.

Micah Willbrand, chief product officer at GBG, said: “Trust in an account decays from the moment it is created.”

GBG said its roadmap extends the same face credential to account recovery, agentic identity, age assurance and continuous verification for gig economy platforms, for its more than 20,000 customers in over 70 countries. The release does not name any gambling operator using the new capabilities.

Mihkel Jäätma, chief executive and co-founder of Realeyes, said: “The market need has shifted from verifying an identity once to verifying a person continuously.”

GBG is listed on the London Stock Exchange Main Market. Realeyes was founded in 2007 at the University of Oxford.
