Georgia and Pennsylvania Expand Reach of IWG's Multi-State eInstant Jackpots
Instant Win Gaming has added Georgia to its Mega Money Jackpots pool and expanded Pennsylvania's participation with a second multi-state progressive, Super Drop Jackpots.
Instant Win Gaming (IWG), a supplier of eInstant games to NASPL and WLA-member lotteries, has announced the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s launch of Mega Money Jackpots, making it the fifth lottery to join this multi-state eInstant progressive jackpot pool. Georgia joins Kentucky, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Virginia in the network.
Separately, the Pennsylvania Lottery has expanded its involvement in IWG’s multi-state offering by launching Super Drop Jackpots, becoming its second participation in a multi-state eInstant progressive. Pennsylvania joins North Carolina and Virginia in this jackpot group, with Kentucky expected to join later in the summer.
Growing adoption across US iLottery
The two launches reflect wider uptake of multi-state eInstant jackpots among US iLottery operators, according to IWG. The company said its multi-state games have paid out 24 jackpot prizes over the past 22 months, averaging more than one per month, with total payouts exceeding $60 million and 19 new millionaires created.
IWG highlighted a record win in April, when a North Carolina player scooped a $6.7 million jackpot, which it described as the largest eInstant prize in US iLottery history.
Participating lotteries each contribute a small percentage of sales from selected eInstant games to fund the shared progressive prize pools, with IWG handling turnkey settlement of jackpot funds across all lotteries involved.
Technology behind the games
Both Mega Money Jackpots and Super Drop Jackpots run on IWG’s InstantJackpots technology, built into its InstantRGS remote game server. This means no additional development work is required from the lotteries’ iLottery platform providers.
Rhydian Fisher, chief executive at Instant Win Gaming, said the company was seeing strong momentum in the way US lotteries are embracing progressive prizes, adding that IWG expects further lotteries to join the jackpot networks.
