Light & Wonder Appoints Simon Johnson as iGaming CEO
Light & Wonder has promoted Simon Johnson to lead its iGaming business, moving him across from a senior role in the company's Gaming division.
Light & Wonder, Inc. has named Simon Johnson as chief executive of its iGaming division, the company announced on 9 January 2025.
Johnson moves into the role from the company’s Gaming business, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and International Managing Director. He has been with Light & Wonder since 2017 and was credited with helping to grow the Gaming division’s international commercial operations.
Reporting Line and Background
In his new position, Johnson will report to Light & Wonder President and CEO Matt Wilson and will sit on the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
Before joining Light & Wonder, Johnson worked in investment banking, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and cross-border deals. He has also held leadership positions across private equity, telecommunications and financial technology, working with organisations ranging from startups to large multinational firms.
