BetMGM to hand out £500,000 during Cheltenham Festival
BetMGM is marking its first year as sponsor of the Queen Mother Champion Chase by depositing two £250,000 sums into customer accounts and offering Las Vegas trips during Cheltenham Festival week.
BetMGM has launched a £500,000 giveaway to coincide with the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, marking its inaugural year as sponsor of the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase, the feature race on Wednesday.
Two BetMGM customers will each receive £250,000 deposited directly into their accounts, with winners selected at random. From Monday 10th March, customers qualify for entry by placing and settling a £2 bet on any sports market. Each settled £2 stake counts as one entry, meaning multiple smaller bets generate more entries than a single larger wager of the same total value.
Vegas prizes on offer at The Centaur
Alongside the cash giveaway, BetMGM is introducing a Vegas-style slot machine activation called the Vegas Victory Vault in The Centaur venue at the festival. Racegoers using the machine will have the chance to win one of three trips to Las Vegas being given away during the week, as well as tickets to other BetMGM-sponsored racing fixtures, including next year’s Cheltenham Festival and the Grade One BetMGM Clarence House Chase at Ascot.
Sam Behar, UK director at BetMGM, said the giveaways were designed to mark the operator’s first year backing the Queen Mother Champion Chase and to add to the excitement of festival week. He noted that entry simply requires customers to place and settle a £2 sports bet, alongside the additional prizes available through the Vegas Victory Vault.
BetMGM horse racing ambassador Megan Nicholls said the promotion added extra appeal to what is already a significant week in the racing calendar, suggesting that finding a £250,000 deposit in an account could rival the thrill of backing a winner in the Champion Chase or Gold Cup.
