Evoplay secures Ontario licence, enters Canadian market

Evoplay has obtained a supplier licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the company announced on 19 March 2025, formally opening the door to the Canadian market.

The approval permits Evoplay to distribute its games catalogue to licensed operators in Ontario, a jurisdiction the studio has identified as significant given its established regulatory framework and sizeable player base.

Portfolio and strategy

Evoplay’s offering includes more than 250 slots, table games, crash titles and instant games. The company said the Ontario licence supports its broader strategy of entering additional regulated markets and forming partnerships with local operators.

Ihor Zarechnyi, Chief Commercial Officer at Evoplay, described the licence as a significant milestone for the company’s expansion into North America, adding that Ontario’s iGaming sector has grown substantially and that Evoplay aims to build partnerships with operators in the region while introducing its content to local players.

The company indicated it has further expansion plans as it continues to grow its presence in global markets.
