Evoplay teams up with Hrvatska Lutrija to enter Croatian market

Game development studio Evoplay has agreed a partnership with Hrvatska Lutrija, Croatia’s sole authorised state lottery operator, to supply titles to the operator’s online casino brand, Cro Casino, the companies announced on 30 April 2025.

Under the deal, 12 Evoplay games have gone live for Croatian players, with further releases planned in the coming months. The initial line-up includes Penalty Shoot-out, a football-themed instant game that the studio says has performed well in several other markets.

The agreement represents a further step in Evoplay’s expansion into regulated European markets, giving it a foothold in Croatia through partnership with the country’s established state lottery operator.

Technology and integration

Hrvatska Lutrija, founded in 1973, is a state-owned company offering lottery, sports betting and casino products both in retail outlets and online. It also contributes funding to national sport, culture and social welfare initiatives.

The rollout of Evoplay’s content was enabled through Intralot SA, Hrvatska Lutrija’s technology partner, which operates in 39 regulated jurisdictions. Evoplay’s games have been integrated via Intralot’s Lotos X Omni platform, which connects to the Bragg Hub aggregation system.

Executive comment

Ihor Zarechnyi, chief commercial officer at Evoplay, described the tie-up as a milestone in the studio’s European expansion, noting that Hrvatska Lutrija’s established brand provides a trusted route to reach Croatian players through Cro Casino.

Ignacije Čutura, chief executive of Hrvatska Lutrija, said the partnership strengthens the operator’s online offering and supports its continued growth within Croatia’s regulated gambling market, adding that Evoplay’s content aligns with its focus on quality entertainment.

Evoplay’s portfolio spans more than 250 slots, table, crash and instant games, and the studio has previously received recognition from industry awards bodies.
