Evoplay unveils regal-themed slot Ignis Rex

Evoplay, the iGaming studio known for its slot and instant game portfolio, launched Ignis Rex on 29th August 2025. The title merges classic fruit-machine symbols with a regal theme and a set of bonus mechanics designed to appeal to both casual and experienced slot players.

Gameplay mechanics

Ignis Rex runs on a 5x3 grid and features a King character who acts as a Sticky Wild. This symbol can appear on any reel, remaining locked in place for one to three respins to increase potential wins, and substitutes for all symbols except Scatters and Coins.

The game’s main bonus, the King’s Coins Bonus, is triggered when three or more Coin symbols land on the same row. The round begins with three spins, which reset each time a new Coin symbol appears. Every new Coin landing causes previously collected coins on the grid to double in value, with combined totals potentially exceeding the base coin range of x1 to x20 once the feature concludes.

Outside the bonus round, unlocked coins in the base game can deliver instant wins, while scatter symbols on reels one, three and five pay out regardless of position.

Ivan Kravchuk, chief executive of Evoplay, said the release builds on established slot mechanics while adding features such as sticky wilds, instant wins and the King’s Coins Bonus to keep players engaged. He added that the game was built to feel familiar while offering enough variation to appeal across different markets.
