Minebea Intec Touts Recipe Software for Food Production Safety
Minebea Intec has highlighted its ProRecipe XT software, designed to digitise dosing and batching processes for food manufacturers and system integrators.
Minebea Intec, a manufacturer of weighing and inspection technology, has promoted its ProRecipe XT software as a tool for improving precision and traceability in food production dosing processes.
The system combines scales and software to automate manual batching, replacing paper-based records with digital tracking. According to the company, the software guides operators through weighing tasks via a screen interface, confirming when target quantities have been reached and automatically logging the data.
Aimed at complex recipes
Minebea Intec said the software is suited to production environments handling demanding recipes, such as baked goods manufacturing, where multiple ingredients must be measured in varying quantities. ProRecipe XT can connect to existing ERP systems, allowing order and batch data to be transferred automatically and weighing results to be fed back for stock monitoring.
Lars-Henrik Bierwirth, Global Product Manager at Minebea Intec, said the software allows customers to digitalise production while improving safety, citing traceability and control over process parameters as key benefits.
Scalable licensing
The company said the software uses a modular licensing structure intended to make it accessible to both small and large food businesses operating with tighter cost margins. Bierwirth said the system’s scalability and ease of use were designed to suit a range of production environments.
Hardware integration
Minebea Intec said ProRecipe XT is intended to work alongside its own range of load cells, industrial scales and electronic weighing systems. The company offers combined services covering software, hardware, commissioning and qualification, along with custom adaptations for specific client requirements.
The firm said the aim of pairing hardware with the software is to bring consistency to each stage of production, from batch recording to full ingredient documentation, while allowing operators to focus on batching tasks rather than manual record-keeping.
