Yggdrasil to launch Game in a Box slot production tool
Yggdrasil has announced Game in a Box, a new technology designed to speed up the creation, testing and certification of slot games, currently being piloted with select partners ahead of a full market launch.
Yggdrasil has revealed plans to launch Game in a Box, a new technology solution aimed at changing how slot games are designed, tested and delivered. The announcement was made on 11th September 2025.
According to the company, Game in a Box offers studios and partners a faster and more flexible way to build and certify games by streamlining production processes. Yggdrasil says the goal is to raise standards of efficiency, creativity and scalability across the iGaming sector.
Internal rollout and pilot phase
The technology has already been implemented within Yggdrasil’s own operations and is currently being tested with a limited number of partners. The company has not yet disclosed full technical details, saying more information will follow ahead of an official commercial release.
Yggdrasil states that the tool is intended to cut development timelines significantly, allowing game creators to spend more time on design and innovation rather than production logistics.
Executive comment
James Curwen, chief executive of Yggdrasil, described Game in a Box as part of the company’s ongoing innovation strategy. He said the solution had been built to support creativity while speeding up time to market, and that the company expects it to influence how games are produced industry-wide.
Yggdrasil said further details on Game in a Box will be shared in the coming months as the company prepares for a full launch.
Founded in 2013, Yggdrasil is headquartered in Sweden, with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar.
