Pragmatic Play debuts Book of Monsters slot with expanding symbols

Pragmatic Play announced on 27th March 2025 the launch of Book of Monsters, a new cluster-pays slot title in which oversized symbols, up to 7x7 in size, can appear randomly during the base game.

The game’s bonus round is triggered by landing between four and seven scatter symbols, awarding between five and eight free spins. At the start of the feature, a random symbol is designated as the FAT symbol. Players are given the option to gamble before the free spins begin, with the chance to add extra spins or upgrade the FAT symbol to a higher-paying one.

Growing symbols mechanic

Once the free spins begin, the FAT symbol relocates to a different position on the reels with each spin. Matching symbols are tracked in a meter, and as they accumulate the FAT symbol expands in stages, from 2x2 up to 7x7. Each increase in size also grants one to three additional free spins.

Book of Monsters joins Pragmatic Play’s recent releases, following Big Bass Return to the Races and 5 Lions Megaways 2, as the supplier continues to expand its slots portfolio.
