Pragmatic Play sends Big Bass fisherman to Vegas in new slot release

Pragmatic Play, a content supplier to the iGaming industry, has released Big Bass Vegas Double Down Deluxe, the latest title in its long-running Big Bass slot series, on 12th September 2024.

The 5x3 slot places the series’ recurring fisherman character in a Las Vegas setting and introduces a new bonus mechanic not previously seen in the Big Bass range.

Base game and bonus triggers

In the base game, landing two scatter symbols gives players a random chance of securing a third. This can happen if the scatters shift position without leaving the reels, triggering a respin, or if a random hook feature pulls a reel upward to reveal an additional scatter.

Three or more scatters trigger the bonus round, awarding between 15 and 25 free spins. During this feature, blue and red fisherman wilds collect money symbols from the screen and progress two separate cash trails. Collecting every fourth fisherman wild in either trail awards ten additional free spins along with a money symbol multiplier that increases through 2x, 3x and 10x.

Money symbols and extra features

Money symbols can carry random values worth up to 5,000 times the player’s stake. A random bazooka feature can bring money symbols onto the grid if a fisherman wild lands with none present, while a hook feature can pull a fisherman wild onto the grid if money symbols appear without one.

In select markets, players will also have access to a bonus buy option, including a super free spins variant that requires only three fisherman wilds to be collected during the feature in order to advance a cash trail.

Latest in the series

Big Bass Vegas Double Down Deluxe follows other recent Pragmatic Play releases including Mustang Gold Megaways and Mystery Mice, continuing the supplier’s regular slot release schedule.

Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said the title extends the Big Bass series with a Vegas setting in which the dual cash trail mechanic in the bonus round is designed to help players secure larger wins.

Pragmatic Play states that it currently produces up to eight new slot titles per month, alongside live casino and bingo content, all delivered through a single API as part of its wider multi-product portfolio.
