Relax Gaming releases winter sports-themed slot Winter Champions

Relax Gaming, the iGaming aggregator and content provider, has launched Winter Champions, a new slot title built around a winter sports theme. The game was announced from Malta on 19th November 2024.

The slot centres on a mechanic called Sliding Respins, which keeps the reels active for as long as winning combinations continue to appear. Relax Gaming states the title carries a maximum win potential of 6,000x the player’s stake.

Bonus rounds

Winter Champions includes three separate bonus rounds, themed around Ski Jumping, Ice Hockey and Curling, which are triggered when three Wild symbols land on the reels simultaneously.

In the Ski Jumping bonus, a Rolling Respin feature moves players towards a top prize, with Wilds able to boost rewards by up to 5x. The Ice Hockey bonus involves collecting pucks and scoring goals to multiply values, while the Curling bonus requires players to stack stones to unlock multipliers that fill the reels.

Shelley Hannah, chief product officer at Relax Gaming, said the studio wanted to capture the competitive spirit of winter sports through the new title, adding that the Sliding Respins mechanic and the three bonus games were designed to appeal to a broad range of players and to offer lasting appeal beyond the winter period.
