Tequity strikes technology integration deal with Boxplay
Stockholm-based games developer Boxplay is to integrate Tequity's modular iGaming platform as it prepares for a 2025 market push.
Tequity, an iGaming software provider, has signed an agreement to integrate its platform with newly established Stockholm gaming developer Boxplay, it was announced on 6th November 2024.
The deal will see Boxplay adopt Tequity’s licensed, modular technology stack, which the company says is designed to shorten development timelines and speed up market entry for studios and operators.
RGS at the core
Central to the integration is Tequity’s Remote Gaming Server (RGS), which is intended to improve operational efficiency. Once implemented, the technology is expected to let Boxplay meet partner content demands more quickly, drawing on Tequity’s existing network of more than 50 integrations with operators and aggregation platforms.
The agreement adds to a growing list of Tequity partnerships, which already include sports betting specialist Parlaybay, multiplayer developer BeyondPlay, and slot studios AvatarUX, Fantasma Games and JustSlots.
Tequity positions itself as a technology partner for founders, start-ups, scale-ups and established operators in the iGaming space, offering a range of software modules that clients can select according to project needs.

Krzysztof Opałka, chief technology officer at Tequity, said the company was pleased to work with Boxplay as the newer firm builds momentum, adding that the platform’s RGS capabilities were designed to support licensees looking to bring distinctive content to operators.
Joakim Renman, chief executive and co-founder of Boxplay, said the integration would allow his team to accelerate development and focus on building gaming software aimed at making an impact with partners and the wider industry when it enters the market in 2025.
Tequity’s other technology includes a Game Development Kit and its modularised RGS, used by studios such as Peter & Sons, Fantasma Games and AvatarUX, and connected to aggregators and operators including SOFTSWISS, Hub88 and Playtech. Opałka previously held CTO, CPO and CIO roles at Yggdrasil.
