Stockholm-based slots studio Thunderkick has signed a supply agreement with Ontario online casino Betty, expanding its footprint in the Canadian province.

Thunderkick agrees content deal with Ontario operator Betty

Independent games studio Thunderkick has struck a deal with Betty, an Ontario-based online casino operator, to supply its slot content to the brand, according to a release issued by Square in the Air on behalf of Thunderkick.

Betty, which counts the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors among its sporting partnerships, launched in 2022 following consultation with 300 casino players to shape its product. The operator has built a catalogue of 2,800 games and positions itself as a slots-focused alternative to sports betting-led rivals in the North American market.

Titles heading to Betty

Under the agreement, a range of Thunderkick titles will be added to Betty’s platform, including The Wildos 2, Midas Golden Touch 3 and Esqueleto Explosivo 3. This gives Ontarian players wider access to the studio’s catalogue as part of Betty’s ongoing content expansion.

Thunderkick first entered the Ontario market in the second quarter of 2024 and has since built out partnerships with a number of operators in the province. The Betty deal is described as part of a broader push to deepen its presence in the jurisdiction rather than simply increase the number of commercial agreements it holds.

Executive comment

Svante Sahlström, chief commercial officer at Thunderkick, said the company’s 2025 strategy is focused on building lasting relationships in target markets rather than maximising deal volume, adding that partnering with established brands such as Betty helps bring its games to more Canadian players.

Paraskeva Smirnova, casino operations manager at Betty, said the operator’s differentiator has been assembling a slots portfolio from what it considers the industry’s most creative suppliers, and that adding Thunderkick’s titles supports that aim.

Thunderkick, founded in Stockholm in 2012, employs more than 80 staff and distributes its content via its own Remote Gaming Server to operators including Bet365, William Hill, LeoVegas, 888 Casino, Mr Green, PokerStars Casino, ComeOn, Unibet and Betsson.
