William Hill signs jockey Keith Donoghue as horse racing ambassador

William Hill announced on 12 December 2024 that Keith Donoghue has signed on as a horse racing ambassador for the bookmaker.

Donoghue, who has secured Cheltenham Festival wins on Tiger Roll, Delta Work and Limerick Lace, joins existing William Hill ambassadors including trainer Gavin Cromwell, broadcaster Jane Mangan, and former jockeys Sir AP McCoy and Barry Geraghty.

Content and race commitments

As part of the arrangement, Donoghue will contribute regularly to William Hill’s news platform, offering previews of his rides and commentary on racing news through a dedicated column. He will also appear in video content produced for the bookmaker’s social media channels.

The jockey has a busy run of fixtures ahead, riding as number one jockey for fellow William Hill ambassador Gavin Cromwell at Cheltenham’s December meeting, with rides including Stumptown in the Cross Country and juvenile hurdler Total Look.

Comment

Andrew McCleave, Head of Marketing at William Hill Ireland, said the company was pleased to bring Donoghue into its ambassador group, describing him as a strong talent with promising opportunities ahead as Cromwell’s lead jockey. He added that William Hill would use its social channels to share behind-the-scenes updates and interviews with Donoghue throughout the season.

Donoghue’s first blog post for William Hill, covering his rides at Cheltenham on the Friday and Saturday, was published on the William Hill news site on the day of the announcement.
