Yggdrasil unveils RushingWilds GEM ahead of Aphrodite Goes Wild launch
Yggdrasil has announced a new Game Engagement Mechanic called RushingWilds, which will debut in its forthcoming slot Aphrodite Goes Wild RushingWilds.
Yggdrasil is preparing to launch a new Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM) named RushingWilds, which will make its first appearance in the upcoming slot title Aphrodite Goes Wild RushingWilds.
The mechanic joins existing GEMs in the studio’s portfolio, including DoubleMax, GigaBlox and MultiMax, which have been used across a range of titles to add extra features to gameplay.
How RushingWilds works
The GEM is triggered during sequences of consecutive free spins or respins. Any wild symbol that lands on the reels becomes sticky for the remainder of that spin sequence. When a further wild appears, all previously sticky wilds receive a multiplier boost applied to wins passing through them, with each wild’s multiplier tracked independently.
By default, each new wild adds a further 1x to the multiplier, though this can be adjusted by operators. A maximum multiplier cap is optional and can be set, for example, at 5x. The sticky wild status and multipliers apply only until the end of the consecutive spin sequence.

Marcin Tomala, Senior Game Designer at Yggdrasil, said the studio has built a reputation around its GEMs and the way they enhance player experience. He added that innovations such as RushingWilds help the company stay competitive in the slots market and that the new mechanic is expected to add further variety to gameplay, in line with previous GEM releases.
Yggdrasil’s GEM portfolio now comprises ten mechanics, with further additions planned. The company, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar.
