4ThePlayer launches cascading slot 7x7 Zeus via YG Masters

4ThePlayer has released 7x7 Zeus, a mythology-themed slot published via Yggdrasil’s YG Masters programme, on 29th August 2024. The title marks the studio’s first move into cascading game mechanics.

The game uses a scatter pays format combined with cascades and multipliers, built around a Zeus-inspired theme in which the reel grid can expand to a maximum size of 7x7. Wins are formed when seven or more matching symbols land anywhere on the reels, with values boosted by Win Multipliers that double after each symbol drop.

Expanding thunder reels

Thunder Scatters can expand the grid in any direction, growing it up to the full 7x7 size within a single spin. Landing three or more scatters triggers a round of twelve Divine Free Spins, during which the expanded Thunder Reels retain and accumulate win multipliers rather than resetting between spins.

Visually, the game is set against a backdrop of storm clouds over Mount Olympus, with lightning effects surrounding the depiction of Zeus during play.

Henry McLean, co-founder and commercial and marketing director at 4ThePlayer, said the release represents the studio’s first venture into cascading games, adding that the team is pleased with the combination of features and mathematical design in the final product.

4ThePlayer, founded in London in 2018, develops slot titles aimed at delivering high win-potential gameplay through concise mechanics. Yggdrasil, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Sweden with operational hubs in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar, operates the YG Masters programme alongside its own studio output and technology platform GATI.
