SpinOn launches Ramses Retro slot via Yggdrasil's YGG Masters programme

SpinOn, a partner in Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme, released Ramses Retro on 25 October 2024, marking the studio’s fourth title under the initiative.

The slot combines a classic Las Vegas-style format with an Egyptian theme, incorporating bonus mechanics inspired by Pachinko and Top Dollar-style games.

Bonus features

The game includes a Scarab Pinball Bonus, triggered when special symbols land on the middle section of the third reel. Players start with five balls that fall into a grid containing prizes such as multipliers, extra balls and wins of up to 25 times the stake.

A separate Top Fortune feature offers players a range of values, up to 500 times the bet, which they can either collect or gamble for a potentially larger or smaller reward. The game suggests a ‘best play’ approach to add a strategic element.

In the base game, wild symbols can appear with multipliers of x2 or x5, which stack for larger potential payouts.

Technology

Ramses Retro runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a standardised and regulation-ready development toolkit designed to support faster production and distribution of content for the company’s partners.

Zoe Bird, head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the title blends several popular elements from across the gambling sector, including its Egyptian setting, Vegas-inspired gameplay and Pachinko-style bonus round, and suggested it would appeal to a broad range of players across multiple markets.

SpinOn’s marketing team said the game was designed to attract retro slot fans, bonus feature enthusiasts and players who favour Egyptian themes, adding that its two bonus rounds merge traditional slot mechanics with newer features.
