Betway signs sports data deal with Abelson Sports

Betway has agreed a partnership with Abelson Sports, a supplier of sports data solutions, to add live sports broadcast listings to its betting apps, the companies announced on 22nd April 2025.

Under the deal, Abelson Sports will supply Betway with listings covering television, OTT and streaming services across a number of key markets, helping users find where to watch live sporting events. The arrangement extends Abelson Sports’ coverage into new regions, providing localised listings for Betway in its primary markets.

Data reach

Abelson Sports operates across 36 territories on five continents and says it tracks more than 1,100 channels, generating data on over 560,000 unique broadcasts and around 111,000 events each year through its DATA service.

Reuben Thomas, Sales Director at Abelson Sports, said the partnership would allow the company to apply its sports data solutions to help Betway users access real-time viewing information, adding that the firm remained focused on making it easier for fans to find where to watch events as broadcasting options continue to expand.

Anthony Werkman, CEO at Betway Group, said the tie-up was intended to improve the quality and usefulness of information available to Betway app users. He said the integration of Abelson Sports’ real-time listings supported the operator’s aim of making sport more accessible globally and building a more immersive digital experience for users.

Abelson Sports was founded in 2003 and also runs an ODDS division supporting its Football Player Markets product, alongside DATA and TECH services for bookmakers, platform providers and media companies. Betway launched in 2006 and is part of Super Group.
