BGaming launches Halloween-themed slot Haunted Reels

iGaming content provider BGaming has released Haunted Reels, a Halloween-themed slot set in the grounds of a haunted mansion, according to a release from the company dated 15 October 2024.

The game carries a 97% RTP and is described as medium-high volatility in its base version. It features ghost Wild symbols with random multipliers of x2, x3, x5 or x10, which substitute for all symbols except Scatters.

Bonus mechanics

The slot’s Bonus Game is triggered by landing three or more pumpkin Scatters, after which one of three randomly selected levels determines the number of free spins, the chosen symbol and the multipliers required for a larger payout. During free spins, coffins on the reels reveal a sticky symbol, extra spins or a multiplier, with a skeleton character opening additional coffins at random. The maximum win available through this feature is 5,000 times the stake.

When five multipliers are collected during the Bonus round, they are held by the skeleton character before being released back onto the game field ahead of the final payout calculation.

Players can also access the bonus directly via a Buy Bonus option, which offers three variants: a low-volatility Green level including all symbols, a medium-volatility Red level restricted to high-value symbols, and a very high-volatility Purple level, also limited to high-value symbols, in which the skeleton assigns five multipliers twice.

Comment

Julia Alekseeva, co-CPO at BGaming, said the release aims to capture a Halloween atmosphere through its symbols and audiovisual design combined with straightforward mechanics. She added that Haunted Reels is the first of several Halloween-themed titles the studio plans to launch this season.

BGaming’s portfolio includes more than 150 products distributed across over 1,600 online casinos, and the studio says it was the first in the industry to support cryptocurrency payments and offer Provably Fair games.
