Celestar appoints Jacob Portelli as Business Development Manager
Malta-based slots provider Celestar has strengthened its sales team with the hiring of Jacob Portelli, weeks after the company's public launch.
Celestar, a newly launched slots provider based in Malta, has appointed Jacob Portelli as Business Development Manager, the company announced on 9 July 2025.
Portelli brings more than four years of experience in the gambling and payments sectors to the role. He will be tasked with growing Celestar’s network of operators and aggregators as the company looks to expand its commercial reach.
The hire comes shortly after Celestar’s official launch in June, when the provider positioned itself around a portfolio of slot titles spanning a range of themes.

Celeastar chief executive Vassilis Trochalidis said the appointment came at an exciting stage in the company’s development, adding that Portelli was expected to play a key role in its growth over the coming years.
Portelli said he was pleased to join Celestar, describing the company as having the potential to make a significant impact in the iGaming sector.
Celestar describes itself as focused on delivering slot games with varied mechanics and themes, drawing on industry experience to create original titles for players.
