Four Winds Casinos to deploy Neccton player protection tech via OpenBet
Four Winds Casinos has selected OpenBet to provide Neccton-powered responsible gambling and anti-money laundering software across its Midwest properties.
Four Winds Casinos, owned and operated by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, has agreed to implement player protection technology supplied by OpenBet and powered by Neccton, according to a release issued on 1st October 2024.
The deal will see Neccton’s responsible gambling and anti-money laundering software rolled out across Four Winds’ gaming resorts in Michigan and Indiana. The technology, built on academic research, uses evidence-based tools such as personalised pop-up alerts, limit-setting features and behavioural analytics to flag at-risk play.
Expanding tribal footprint
Neccton forms part of OpenBet’s regulatory technology division, which the supplier has been building out as part of a wider compliance push. The Four Winds agreement adds to OpenBet’s presence in the US tribal casino sector, where it says it now serves 14 tribes. Earlier in 2024 the company invested in player account management platform provider Strive Gaming, aimed at expanding its reach in newly regulated tribal markets.
OpenBet said its overall global customer base grew by more than 40% in the first half of 2024.

The company has previously acquired Neccton, launched its OpenBet Locator geolocation product, and added IMG Arena’s data rights to its sportsbook offering. It has also picked up industry awards including Sports Betting Supplier at the EGR North America Awards 2024 and Sportsbook Platform Supplier at the SBC North America Awards 2024.
