Jelly and Yggdrasil launch Sugar Bomb 2 MultiBoost slot sequel
YGG Masters studio partner Jelly has released Sugar Bomb 2 MultiBoost, a follow-up to its earlier Sugar Bomb title, distributed via Yggdrasil's GATI platform.
Jelly, a partner in Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme, has launched Sugar Bomb 2 MultiBoost on 4th March 2025, a sequel to one of its previous slot releases.
The six-reel game uses a cascading wins mechanic combined with Jelly’s MultiBoost feature, alongside Gobstopper and Fizz Wizz symbols and a Free Spins bonus round. The title carries a maximum win potential of up to 5,000 times stake.
Game mechanics
The MultiBoost multiplier activates whenever a Sugar Bomb symbol lands on the top horizontal reel, doubling wins and the existing multiplier. A Golden Bomb symbol can push the MultiBoost multiplier as high as 100x. Sugar Bomb symbols also function as wilds throughout the game.
Gobstopper symbols landing on the top reel reveal prize multipliers of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x the base bet, which are then multiplied further by the active MultiBoost value. Fizz Wizz symbols on the top reel double the reel beneath them, splitting symbols and potentially increasing the number of winning ways to a maximum of 21,609.
Landing three or more bonus symbols triggers up to 12 Free Spins, during which the MultiBoost multiplier carries over and remains persistent. In certain jurisdictions, players can choose a Golden Bet option giving a 50% chance of triggering the bonus feature, or pay 100 times their stake to trigger it directly.
Development platform
Sugar Bomb 2 MultiBoost was built using GATI, Yggdrasil’s proprietary technology framework, which provides partner studios with a standardised, regulation-ready toolkit intended to speed up development and distribution of new content.
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the original Sugar Bomb MultiBoost had been released less than a year earlier and that the sequel reflected continued player demand for the slot, adding that Jelly’s MultiBoost mechanic has built a following internationally and lifts engagement levels for the title.
Victoria Newbolt, Marketing Lead at Jelly, said the sequel retains the qualities that made the original title successful while adding new features and mechanics.
Yggdrasil was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Sweden, with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates the YGG Masters partner network and its GATI technology platform alongside its BOOST promotional toolset and Game Engagement Mechanics (GEMs) portfolio.
