Playson expands diamond slot series with Multidiamond XXL: Spins+

Playson has launched Multidiamond XXL: Spins+, the latest addition to its diamond-themed slot series, introducing two new mechanics designed to increase win potential across both base and bonus gameplay.

The game is built on a 3x5 grid featuring classic casino-style symbols. Landing a Multidiamond icon alongside any Diamond symbol can trigger the Multidiamond Feature, which collects the value of all Diamonds in play before applying a multiplier of up to 20x. Diamond symbols landing on a spin can also randomly generate a Multidiamond icon, offering an alternative route into the feature or the bonus round.

Bonus mechanics

The Bonus Game is activated when a Multidiamond symbol or Collect Diamond appears alongside Diamonds on reels one and three, initially awarding seven spins. During this round, only Multidiamond, Collect Diamond, Diamond and new +1, +2 and +3 symbols can appear. The new Spins+ mechanic lets these numbered symbols extend the spin count by their corresponding value, prolonging the Bonus Game and increasing opportunities to accumulate Diamond values. Multidiamond symbols and Collect Diamonds can only land on reel two, where they stay fixed for the remainder of the round. At the end of the Bonus Game, the accumulated values of these symbols are added to the player’s total win.

In the base game, the existing Collect mechanic is joined by the new Multidiamond Feature, while the Pile of Diamonds feature can add further Multidiamond, Collect Diamond or Diamond symbols capable of triggering the Bonus Game.

Players can also access two bonus buy options, one of which guarantees two Multidiamond icons within a dedicated Multidiamond Bonus Game. Three Extra Bet options are additionally available, raising the likelihood of triggering the Bonus Game or a separate Diamond Spins mode.

Anton Ivannikov, chief product officer at Playson, said the release builds on the appeal of the supplier’s established diamond series by adding new layers of progression. He said the Multidiamond Feature introduces a fresh dynamic to the familiar Collect mechanic, while the Spins+ symbols give players more chances to extend the Bonus Game and make use of its win potential.
