Pragmatic Play Sports adds greyhound racing to betting portfolio

Pragmatic Play Sports announced on 7 March 2025 that it has gone live with greyhound racing, expanding its sportsbook product for operators and their customers in key betting markets.

The new addition brings coverage of more than 100,000 live greyhound racing events per year from upwards of 80 tracks globally. The product includes a detailed racecard showing performance data for each dog across its previous six races.

Building on 2023 sportsbook launch

Pragmatic Play first introduced its sportsbook offering in late 2023 through a partnership with DAZN Bet in Spain. That product is now marketed under the Pragmatic Play Sports brand and operates as an end-to-end platform, offering customisable design options, official live data feeds and a range of managed services for operators.

The supplier highlighted the UK as a key target market for the new greyhound racing content, describing it as one of the world’s most established and competitive sports betting markets where greyhound racing holds particular popularity.

Further product expansion planned

Gareth Crook, SVP of Sports at Pragmatic Play, said greyhound racing represents an important market for operators in the UK and internationally. He noted that the launch follows the introduction of horse racing and football player markets late last year, with additional products and services planned for release throughout 2025.

The greyhound racing launch forms part of Pragmatic Play Sports’ wider strategy to broaden the scope and reach of its betting content as it continues to develop its sportsbook business alongside the company’s existing casino, live casino, bingo and virtual sports offerings.
