Relax Gaming expands Ontario presence via PointsBet deal

Relax Gaming, the iGaming content aggregator and supplier, has agreed a new partnership with PointsBet, one of Canada’s operators, to expand its footprint in the Ontario market.

Under the deal, PointsBet will integrate Relax Gaming’s slots content into its online casino offering, which sits alongside its sports betting product. The agreement builds on Relax Gaming’s earlier entry into Ontario in April 2022, when it became one of the first suppliers to go live in the province, launching with more than 120 games across several operators.

PointsBet operates a sports betting and casino platform in Canada, with a focus on in-house technology to reduce reliance on third parties, and says it maintains a commitment to responsible gambling standards.

Executive comment

Martin Stålros, chief executive of Relax Gaming, said the company had seen strong performance in Ontario since launch and that the PointsBet partnership would help extend its reach as the operator adopts its content catalogue.

Scott Vanderwel, chief executive of PointsBet, said Relax Gaming had built a solid reputation in the Ontario market and that the tie-up was expected to boost engagement on PointsBet’s casino platform through improved slots content.
