Thunderkick enters Finnish market via Veikkaus deal
Swedish slots studio Thunderkick has gone live in Finland through a partnership with state-owned operator Veikkaus, arranged via aggregator EveryMatrix.
Independent slots developer Thunderkick has entered the Finnish market for the first time through an agreement with Veikkaus, the country’s state-owned gambling operator. The deal was facilitated by aggregator EveryMatrix.
Under the partnership, Finnish players will gain access to a selection of Thunderkick titles, including Esqueleto Explosivo 2, Hot Potato and Midas Golden Touch.
Nordic and European expansion
The Veikkaus tie-up follows Thunderkick’s updated Danish B2B licence, granted in December 2024, and forms part of a wider push to strengthen its footprint across Europe in 2025. The Stockholm-based studio has also struck new commercial agreements in Italy and the Netherlands this year.
Svante Sahlström, chief commercial officer at Thunderkick, said Finland had long been a target market for the company and that the deal with Veikkaus offered access to a new player base as part of its broader European growth strategy.
Thunderkick, founded in Stockholm in 2012, employs more than 80 staff and develops its games in-house, distributing them via its own Remote Gaming Server to operators including Bet365, William Hill, LeoVegas, 888 Casino, PokerStars Casino and Unibet.
