Thunderkick rolls out Midas Golden Touch 3 with new multiplier mechanics
Thunderkick has launched the third instalment of its Midas Golden Touch slot franchise, adding Power Recharge and Retrigger Boost features to the bonus round.
Independent slots studio Thunderkick has released Midas Golden Touch 3, extending its long-running King Midas themed franchise with new bonus mechanics and increased player customisation options.
The game retains familiar elements from previous instalments, including wilds landing on paylines that trigger multipliers ranging from 2x to 32x, and the Gift of Midas base game feature, which randomly places one to five wilds or scatters across the reels.
Bonus round changes
As with earlier versions in the series, three or more scatters trigger the bonus round, now offering five free spins. The number of scatters that activate the round determines the starting Epic Wild Multiplier, with three, four or five scatters awarding a 2x, 5x or 10x base multiplier respectively.
Thunderkick has introduced a new Power Recharge mechanic, which activates after each respin sequence to increase the Epic Wild Multiplier by 1x while adding two extra spins. A second new feature, Retrigger Boost, resets the free spin count to five and raises the Epic Wild Multiplier by between 3x and 8x when three to five additional scatters appear during the bonus round. The studio states this combination unlocks win potential of up to 15,000x.
The release also includes six bonus buy and ante bet options, reflecting a broader industry shift towards giving players more control over gameplay style.
