Xpoint elevates Chapman to CTO, hires Agrawal as VP of Engineering
Geolocation and compliance technology firm Xpoint has restructured its leadership team, promoting Chris Chapman to Chief Technology Officer while bringing in Rahul Agrawal as Vice President of Engineering.
Xpoint, a geolocation and compliance technology provider serving the sports betting, iGaming and daily fantasy sectors, announced on 17th September 2024 a reshuffle of its leadership, promoting Chris Chapman to Chief Technology Officer and appointing Rahul Agrawal as Vice President of Engineering.
Chapman moves up from his previous role as VP of Engineering at the company, where he had overseen engineering operations and worked on the reliability and scalability of Xpoint’s geolocation platform. Prior to Xpoint, he held senior leadership roles at Sourcepoint, Integral Ad Science, and Amino Payments, the latter of which he founded. As CTO, he will now focus on steering technological innovation across Xpoint’s geolocation and compliance offerings for the iGaming industry.
New engineering lead brings sector experience
Agrawal joins Xpoint with more than 25 years in technology leadership. He most recently served as VP of Technology at PointsBet, where he worked on the operator’s sportsbook and casino platform, built out a global engineering team, and oversaw integration with technology partners including geolocation providers. He has also held the CTO role at FaceOff, along with senior technology positions at Jump Ramp Games and High 5 Games.
In his new position, Agrawal will lead Xpoint’s engineering team, with a focus on operational performance and further development of the company’s geolocation technology. His background working within regulated technology environments is expected to support Xpoint’s continued expansion.
Leadership comment
Xpoint CEO Manu Gambhir said Chapman’s promotion reflected his contribution to the company’s growth to date, describing it as a natural step in his progression. Gambhir added that Agrawal’s experience scaling technology platforms would complement Chapman’s leadership, with the combined expertise intended to support Xpoint’s next phase of development in the geolocation and compliance space.
Xpoint describes itself as a provider of geolocation security solutions for the global sports betting, iGaming and daily fantasy sports industries, helping operators meet geo-compliance requirements. The company says it is backed by venture capital investors active in online gaming and continues to expand its client base.
