Xpoint names Tom Flaherty as Chief Financial Officer

Geolocation and compliance technology provider Xpoint has hired Tom Flaherty as CFO to support its financial strategy and international growth.

Xpoint, a geolocation and compliance technology company serving the sports betting, iGaming, lottery, sweepstakes and daily fantasy sectors, has appointed Tom Flaherty as its new Chief Financial Officer, the Miami-based firm announced on 22 April 2025.

Flaherty joins Xpoint with a background in financial leadership, fundraising and mergers and acquisitions across the software, SaaS and wider technology industries. He has held several senior and c-level roles during his career, most recently as CFO of ActiveWorx, where he oversaw a Series A funding round and two acquisitions before the company was sold in 2024.

Focus on fundraising and expansion

At Xpoint, Flaherty will work alongside chief executive Manu Gambhir and the wider leadership team, with responsibilities including fundraising, improving operational performance and supporting the company’s expansion into new markets.

Gambhir said the appointment came at a significant time for Xpoint as it looks to build on its position as a geolocation technology provider within the iGaming sector, adding that Flaherty’s experience in financial strategy within technology businesses would support the firm’s international growth plans.

Flaherty said he was looking forward to working with the Xpoint team to pursue sustainable growth, strengthen operations and build long-term value through financial leadership.

Xpoint states that it is backed by venture capital investors active in the online gaming sector and continues to expand its client base globally.

The announcement was issued by Square in the Air on behalf of Xpoint.
