AvatarUX and Yggdrasil launch festive slot XmasPop Delight

Yggdrasil and studio partner AvatarUX have released XmasPop Delight, a Christmas-themed slot distributed through Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme.

The game reworks a traditional slot format with a winter bauble containing a cherry symbol as the top-paying icon, alongside standard fruit symbols. It uses AvatarUX’s PopWins mechanic, in which winning symbols pop and are replaced by two new icons, extending the reel height. This can happen repeatedly, with reels growing to a maximum of six symbols in the base game and up to nine during the bonus round.

Bonus mechanics

Filling the base game reels to six symbols high triggers the bonus round. Before entering it, players can choose to gamble their free spins on a Gamble Wheel, which can award additional spins or send them back to the base game instead.

Free spins begin with a two-times multiplier, which rises by one increment each time a winning pop round occurs, in keeping with the PopWins mechanic.

XmasPop Delight adds to AvatarUX’s existing line-up of PopWins titles, which includes CherryPop, TikiPop and PiggyPop. The game runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a standardised, regulation-ready development toolkit designed to support faster content production and distribution across the platform’s network.
