Yggdrasil and Bitpunch launch rock-themed slot Burning Riot
YGG Masters studio partner Bitpunch has released Burning Riot, a rock band-themed slot built on Yggdrasil's GATI technology.
Yggdrasil has released a new slot title, Burning Riot, developed by YGG Masters partner studio Bitpunch, the companies announced on 19th March 2025.
The game is set around a rock concert theme, with band members acting as high-paying symbols across six reels that can each hold between two and seven cells per spin. Winning symbols stay locked in place while respins continue until no further wins are available.
Game mechanics
During the first respin, a Power Split feature can trigger, splitting winning symbols to increase paylines and win potential. Wild symbols can appear carrying multipliers of up to 10x.
Scatter symbols accumulate in a meter above the reels, with four or more triggering a free spins round of at least seven rounds. Split features are more frequent during the bonus round, and multipliers can reach up to 50x. In some jurisdictions, players can access the bonus round directly via one of two bonus buy options.
Burning Riot runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a standardised development toolkit designed to help partner studios produce regulation-ready content for rapid distribution across markets.
Comment
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the title delivers a high-energy slot experience with high-volatility gameplay, adding that the YGG Masters programme allows the company to explore varied themes with its partner studios.
Mitri Wiberg, Co-CEO of Bitpunch, described Burning Riot as a follow-up to the studio’s debut release King Power, saying it demonstrates the studio’s ability to combine engaging gameplay mechanics with immersive game environments.
Yggdrasil, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates the YGG Masters partner programme alongside its proprietary GATI technology platform.
