Digital Sports Tech enters US sweepstakes market with Rebet deal

Digital Sports Tech (DST) has struck a deal with US sweepstakes operator Rebet, marking the provider’s first move into the free-to-play and sweepstakes betting vertical, the company announced on 5th November 2024.

Under the agreement, DST will power Rebet’s newly launched Prop City product using one of its hosted plug-and-play solutions. The offering includes player and game prop betting markets across multiple sports and leagues, alongside a bet builder tool allowing customers to construct same-game parlays.

Rebet is a recently launched social sportsbook platform founded by four Dartmouth University students. The app is available to users across 45 US states and combines promotional play with loyalty rewards as part of its free-to-play model.

Hybrid integration

DST said its “hybrid” integration approach lets Rebet retain a custom user interface and its own betslip, while DST handles trading and risk management in the background. This is intended to let Rebet offer prop betting and SGPs across major US leagues, including college sports through NCAA competitions, as well as 19 global soccer competitions, without requiring Rebet to build out its own trading team.

The Bet Builder product is built on DST’s proprietary platform and pricing engine, which the company says draws on data science, predictive analytics and an in-house trading team to generate player projections and odds. The solution was first launched in 2017 and has been developed since.

Executive comment

Ari Lewski, executive director at Digital Sports Tech, said player props and same-game parlays have become among the most popular betting segments in the US, and described Rebet as a company with ambitious plans in the sweepstakes segment.

Carson Hubbard, chief executive of Rebet, said the partnership gives the operator the player props and SGP capability needed to compete in the US free-to-play market, citing DST’s integration speed, market coverage and user experience as key factors behind the decision.

Digital Sports Tech describes itself as a provider of player prop and same-game parlay betting solutions for sportsbook operators globally, having operated in the sector for close to a decade.
