Games Global and Gameburger Studios expand Masks of Fire franchise with Drum Frenzy slot

Games Global and Gameburger Studios released 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy on 25 September, extending the African tribal-themed Masks of Fire franchise with three new drum-based bonus features and a higher maximum win of 5,000x stake.

The title retains the series’ Epic Strike collection mechanic, which pays between 1x and 4,000x for gathering three to 12 mask symbols, and introduces cash mask symbols. When a winning cash collect spin lands, the value of these cash masks is added to the overall Epic Strike payout.

New drum bonus features

Alongside the base game changes, the slot adds three drum bonuses that can be triggered randomly via a drum symbol or through the Tower Bonus. Each requires players to collect drums to climb a prize ladder.

The Jumbo Drum modifier enlarges symbols to help players collect more drums, while the Cash Drum feature adds cash values worth up to 250x to boost ladder payouts. The Drum Frenzy bonus combines both the Cash and Jumbo Drum mechanics for an additional layer of gameplay.

The game also includes Gameburger Studios’ WIN BOOSTER ante bet, which raises the chance of triggering a bonus feature in exchange for a stake increased by 1.5x.

Comments

Thomas Rath, Associate Business Development Manager at Gameburger Studios, said player engagement with the series showed there was still scope to develop it further, and that the studio aimed to elevate the experience for Drum Frenzy while keeping the core Masks of Fire identity intact.

Andy Booth, Chief Product Officer at Games Global, said the Masks of Fire franchise was one of the most diverse in the company’s portfolio, spanning multiple mechanics and the King Millions progressive jackpot network, and credited Gameburger Studios’ product development for the brand’s continued success.

Gameburger Studios operates as part of Games Global’s MahiGaming Division.
