Habanero secures Greek licence in fresh market push

Slots and table games supplier Habanero has been granted a licence to operate in Greece, marking its second new market entry of 2025 after Brazil.

Habanero, a supplier of premium slots and table games, has been awarded a licence to operate in Greece, giving it access to one of Europe’s fastest-growing regulated igaming markets.

The supplier said Greece’s regulated market is projected to reach almost $1.9bn by 2029, presenting significant growth potential for its slots portfolio.

Habanero’s full games catalogue will be licensed in the country, including its recent title Hyper Hues alongside established titles such as Hot Hot Fruit, Mystic Fortune Deluxe and Zeus Deluxe.

Continued expansion

The Greek approval follows Habanero’s entry into Brazil earlier in January, continuing a run of new market launches for the supplier in 2025.

Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, said the Greek licence marked another milestone in the company’s plans to expand its footprint during the year, following closely on from its Brazilian debut.

Habanero is certified across more than 20 jurisdictions and offers over 150 slot titles, alongside table and video poker games, marketing tools and a proprietary jackpot system.

The announcement was issued by Square in the Air on behalf of Habanero.
