Light & Wonder has partnered with PENN Entertainment to bring its new player engagement portfolio to PENN’s online Hollywood Casino product in Michigan, marking the debut of the supplier’s Wonder Drops jackpot mechanic.

Under the agreement, PENN has secured exclusive access to the tools ahead of Light & Wonder’s wider global rollout. The Wonder Drops system allows operators to layer progressive or static cash prizes on top of any title within Light & Wonder’s game catalogue.

Wider rollout planned

The broader suite of engagement tools also includes Free Rounds and Multiplayer Games features. Light & Wonder said further additions, such as tournaments, Hot Seats and daily free games, are due to go live on the platform in the coming months.

Robert Hays, Chief Commercial Officer of iGaming at Light & Wonder, said the Michigan launch of Wonder Drops with Hollywood Casino represented a key step in the company’s strategy to give operators a flexible system for creating more engaging gaming experiences, adding that the approach was intended to change how players interact with its content globally.

Jason Birney, Vice President of Interactive Operations at PENN Entertainment, said the operator was pleased to be the first to launch the portfolio, noting that the tools would help PENN add distinctive features to already popular Light & Wonder titles on Hollywood Casino in Michigan.

The announcement was issued by Light & Wonder, Inc.
