Reflex Gaming and Yggdrasil launch Bison Wilds DoubleMax slot

Reflex Gaming has teamed up with Yggdrasil to launch Bison Wilds DoubleMax, a new online slot released on 11 September 2024.

The 20-payline title is described as highly volatile, giving players the chance to win over 19,000 times their stake through a combination of free spins and two feature mechanics: Pop and Drop and DoubleMax.

Game mechanics

The DoubleMax Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM) doubles a running multiplier after every successful cascade in both base and bonus play, resetting to 1x following a losing spin.

The Pop and Drop cascade feature clears winning symbols from the reels and replaces them with new ones falling from above. Each cascade also introduces one or more Wild symbols into the newly vacated spaces. Four Wild variants can appear: Standard Wilds, which behave conventionally; Super Wilds, which fill all empty positions; Boost Wilds, which advance the multiplier trail; and Each Way Wilds, which pay in both directions across the reels.

Landing three or more bonus symbols triggers up to 13 free spins, during which the multiplier keeps building without resetting until the feature ends. Before the free spins begin, players have the option to gamble for a bigger prize. There is also a bet increase of 25 percent that doubles the chance of triggering free spins, alongside a bonus buy option costing 100 times the stake that starts the feature with seven free spins.

The game runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s proprietary technology platform, which the supplier says allows partners to build and distribute regulation-ready content quickly using a preconfigured development toolkit.

Comments

Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the game blends a classic slot theme with modern mechanics, adding that the combination of DoubleMax and Pop and Drop features should appeal strongly to players.

Mat Ingram, Chief Product Officer at Reflex Gaming, said the studio aimed to create a title suited to players seeking high volatility, engaging features and strong game mechanics.

Reflex Gaming operates across both analogue and digital machine sectors as well as B2B online markets, and merged with UK operator Dransfields in 2019. Yggdrasil, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Sweden with an operational base in Malta, runs its YGG Masters programme and Game Engagement Mechanics portfolio across a global partner network.
