Reflex Gaming and Yggdrasil unveil Norse-themed slot Thor's Hammer Time
Yggdrasil's YGG Masters partner Reflex Gaming has released a new 6x3 video slot built around Thor and Asgard, featuring a Storm Link hold-and-spin bonus and a 5,000x top prize.
Yggdrasil and YGG Masters partner Reflex Gaming have launched Thor’s Hammer Time, a Norse mythology-themed video slot set in Asgard, the companies announced on 9th January 2025.
The game runs on a 6x3 reel layout with 20 paylines and is built around Thor and a storm-based feature set aimed at high volatility play.
Bonus features
A central mechanic, Storm Link, is a hold-and-spin bonus in which prize symbols are collected across successive respins, with the goal of filling the entire grid to unlock a 5,000x Mega Prize. Cash and jackpot symbols can appear alongside x2 fireball symbols, which multiply all prizes in view up to a maximum of 10,000x.
A second feature, Red Lightning, generates special red Lightning symbols that function as regular wilds while also acting as Lightning Prizes capable of triggering the Storm Link bonus. Collecting enough Lightning Prizes activates a Pick Bonus, which awards one of four fixed jackpot prizes, including the top 5,000x Mega Prize.
Players can also opt into a Golden Bet, which raises the base stake by 0.25x in exchange for more than doubling the odds of triggering the Free Spins round. During Free Spins, lightning strikes create winning zones on each spin, with prizes awarded for symbols landing within those zones.
Technology and comment
Thor’s Hammer Time was built using GATI, Yggdrasil’s development toolkit designed to give studio partners a standardised, regulation-ready framework for producing and distributing new game content.
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, described the title as a visually striking slot combining powerful features with high volatility to deliver an engaging player experience.
Mat Ingram, Chief Product Officer at Reflex Gaming, said the game captures the scale of Norse mythology, adding that the Free Spins bonus intensifies as winning zones and the Hammer Prize build the longer the feature runs.
