Reflex Gaming and Yggdrasil launch Double Fruit Frenzy DoubleMax slot

Reflex Gaming, a partner in Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme, has launched Double Fruit Frenzy DoubleMax, a slot that reworks the traditional fruit-themed genre with added bonus mechanics.

The five-reel game uses classic fruit and seven symbols alongside a Super Wild that expands to fill an entire reel. It incorporates Yggdrasil’s DoubleMax Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM), which applies during free spins and a Scratch Card bonus feature.

Bonus features

Landing three, four or five relevant symbols triggers the Scratch Card bonus, awarding a multiplier of 1x, 2x or 4x. Players then reveal symbols offering cash prizes, multiplier doubling, or a collect option that ends the round.

Three or more scatter symbols activate a Bonus Gamble feature, letting players either bank their winnings or risk them on an all-or-nothing gamble.

Reaching the free spins round, via three, four or five bonus symbols, awards eight, 12 or 16 spins respectively. Super Frenzy symbols landing on the first or fifth reel double the multiplier for the remainder of the round. Both the DoubleMax mechanic and Scratch Card bonus can also appear during free spins, adding to the game’s volatility and win potential.

Industry comment

Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the range of features in the game challenges expectations for a classic-themed slot, delivering what she described as a modern take on the genre designed to appeal to a broad player base.

Mat Ingram, Chief Product Officer at Reflex Gaming, said the title combines nostalgic elements with high-energy gameplay, citing the expanding Super Wilds and escalating multipliers during free spins. He added that the Bonus Gamble feature gives players the choice between securing their winnings or pushing for a bigger prize.
