SpinOn and Yggdrasil launch cluster pays slot Shipwrecked

SpinOn has partnered with Yggdrasil to launch Shipwrecked, a cluster pays video slot released on 2 October 2024.

The game gives players the chance to win up to 5,000x their stake through a combination of features, including a dynamic Hot-Zone mechanic, Colossal Wilds and a Free Spins bonus round.

Game mechanics

During both base gameplay and Free Spins, Hot-Zones can appear randomly across the grid, growing to a maximum size of 6x6. Landing a chest within an active Hot-Zone triggers colossal wild symbols, coin multipliers and instant wins of up to 500x, with total wins multiplied according to the number of chests present in the zone.

Three or more scatter symbols landing on the reels trigger up to 20 Free Spins. Within this bonus round, chests landing inside the Hot-Zone advance a Shipwrecked Bonus trail; for every three chests collected, the zone expands and players receive three additional free spins.

Players can also opt to trigger the Free Spins feature directly by staking 75x their bet, which awards 10 free spins immediately.

Powered by GATI

Shipwrecked runs on Yggdrasil’s GATI technology, a standardised, regulation-ready development toolkit designed to allow partner studios to produce and distribute new content quickly and consistently.

Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the title reflects strong anticipation within the market, citing its combination of innovative mechanics and cluster pays gameplay. SpinOn’s marketing team said the studio had aimed to bring together a wide range of features, including cluster pays, dynamic Hot-Zones, win multipliers, Colossal Wilds and Free Spins, into a single title.

Yggdrasil, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates the YG Masters partner programme alongside its GATI technology platform and BOOST promotional toolset.

This report is based on a release issued by Square in the Air on behalf of Yggdrasil.
