Thunderkick renews Danish B2B licence to 2029
Independent slots studio Thunderkick has been granted a new B2B supplier licence by the Danish Gambling Authority, securing its route to market in Denmark for the next five years.
Stockholm-based games studio Thunderkick has obtained a business-to-business licence from Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority, allowing it to continue supplying its slots content to operators in Denmark.
The licence takes effect from 1 January and runs through to 2029, extending the studio’s existing commercial presence in the market. Thunderkick is among the first suppliers to be awarded the licence under newly introduced regulatory requirements from the Danish regulator.
Continued European expansion
Thunderkick already distributes its games across a number of regulated European markets. Securing the renewed Danish approval is described by the company as part of its broader push to strengthen its position across the continent.
Wan Kim, Chief Compliance Officer at Thunderkick, said obtaining the licence had been a priority since Denmark’s updated rules were announced earlier in the year, and that the successful application reflected the quality of the studio’s products and its focus on regulatory compliance. Kim added that the licence would support further growth in Denmark, where several major operators already carry Thunderkick’s content.
