Altenar granted Danish B2B supplier licence
Sportsbook software provider Altenar has received a five-year B2B supplier licence from the Danish Gambling Authority, allowing it to work with operators in the regulated market.
Altenar, a sports betting and iGaming software provider, has been awarded a supplier licence by the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA), the company announced on 9th January 2025. The certification is valid for five years and marks Altenar’s formal entry into Denmark’s regulated betting market.
The licence followed an assessment process by the DGA and positions Altenar among the first suppliers to secure the accreditation. With the licence in place, Altenar can now supply its sportsbook technology to operators holding Danish licences.
Market expansion
Altenar said it is preparing to roll out localised sportsbook products for the Danish market as part of a wider push to expand its presence in regulated European jurisdictions.
Magno Neiva, Head of Licensing and Regulatory Compliance at Altenar, said the Danish licence was a significant milestone given Denmark’s standing as one of Europe’s top ten online betting markets, adding that the company was keen to bring its sportsbook offering to Danish players while continuing to pursue further regulatory approvals in other territories.
Founded in 2011, Altenar operates as a turnkey sportsbook provider, working with operators to tailor betting products for different markets and audiences.
