Wazdan expands Italian footprint with Starvegas content deal
Game studio Wazdan has agreed a partnership with Italian operator Starvegas to bring more than 20 of its slot titles to the market.
Wazdan has struck a content partnership with Italian operator Starvegas, adding to its presence in one of Europe’s more established regulated gambling markets.
Under the deal, more than 20 Wazdan titles will be made available to Starvegas players, including 9 Coins, Mighty Wild: Panther and Sizzling Eggs. The agreement also brings Wazdan’s range of bonus mechanics to the operator’s platform, among them Cash Infinity, Collect to Infinity, Stick to Infinity and the Hold the Jackpot bonus feature.
Starvegas operates in Italy under the Greentube umbrella, the digital gaming and entertainment division of NOVOMATIC, offering slots, casino games and sports betting.
Strategic rationale
Wazdan said the tie-up forms part of its wider push to grow its footprint in Europe’s leading gambling markets. Andrzej Hyla, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the business had seen substantial growth in Europe in recent years, attributing this to its “Online Gaining” approach and to interest from operators in the sector. He said the company expected the partnership with Starvegas to develop into a broader collaboration and to improve the experience for slot players.
Paolo Marchi, Managing Director at Starvegas, said maintaining a competitive portfolio required access to slots with modern mechanics and engaging gameplay, adding that the partnership supported the operator’s aim of offering players leading titles and that it looked forward to gauging player feedback on the expanded offering.
