White Hat Gaming names Steve Angelo as SVP of Global Sales
iGaming platform provider White Hat Gaming has hired industry veteran Steve Angelo to lead its global sales function as it targets further growth, including in the US market.
White Hat Gaming, an iGaming platform provider, has appointed Steve Angelo as Senior Vice President of Global Sales, effective 17 January 2025.
Angelo brings more than 25 years of experience in the betting and gaming industry, having previously held roles at IGT, WMS Gaming, Scientific Games and OpenBet. He becomes the latest addition to White Hat Gaming’s senior leadership team.
Focus on commercial expansion
In his new role, Angelo will be responsible for developing commercial strategies aimed at increasing market share, improving customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth. He will also support the company’s expansion into targeted global markets, with a particular focus on the United States.
The hire comes as White Hat Gaming continues to build its presence in the US, where its player account management (PAM) platform serves a number of tribal casinos and underpins operations for major brands including Bally’s and Jackpocket across regulated states.
Leadership comments
Phil Gelvan, chief executive of White Hat Gaming, said he was pleased to welcome Angelo to the business, citing his extensive background working with established B2B brands in the sector. Gelvan said he expected Angelo’s experience to support the company’s global growth ambitions through 2025 and beyond.
Angelo said he was pleased to join White Hat Gaming, describing the company as a respected name in the gambling industry with a track record of building partnerships in regulated markets. He said he intended to build on these relationships while working to create value for the company’s stakeholders.
White Hat Gaming’s platform includes PAM, cashier and wallet technology delivered through a centralised back office, alongside managed services such as customer support, payments, risk and fraud, and compliance. The company also aggregates third-party content, offering sportsbook products and games from more than 130 providers.
