Yggdrasil and ReelPlay launch gladiator-themed slot Spartacus 10K WAYS
Yggdrasil has released Spartacus 10K WAYS, the tenth 10K WAYS title from YGG Masters partner ReelPlay, featuring four jackpots and a combat-themed bonus round.
Yggdrasil has launched Spartacus 10K WAYS, a new online slot developed with YGG Masters partner ReelPlay, as of 17 January 2025.
The game is set in the Colosseum of ancient Rome and uses ReelPlay’s 10K WAYS mechanic, offering 10,000 ways to win as the game’s gladiatorial narrative plays out across the reels.
Battle Spins feature
A central feature, Battle Spins, pits the character Spartacus against four rivals in sequential one-on-one duels. Winning each encounter unlocks one of four jackpot tiers: Grand, Major, Minor or Mini. Players can also collect hearts during play, which restore Spartacus’s health and improve his chances in battle.
Spartacus 10K WAYS marks the tenth title built on the 10K WAYS mechanic to be released through the YGG Masters programme, reflecting the format’s ongoing popularity among players.
The game runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s proprietary technology platform, which provides partners with a standardised, regulation-ready development toolkit designed to speed up content creation and distribution.
Executive comment
Zoe Bird, Senior Product & Program Manager at Yggdrasil, said the title’s battle feature draws on mechanics popular in video games, adding that the return of 10K WAYS in an ancient Rome setting, combined with cascading wins and bonus prizes, strengthens the company’s game portfolio.
David Johnson, CEO of ReelPlay, said the release represents the tenth 10K WAYS title distributed through Yggdrasil, underlining the format’s continued appeal to players globally. He said the Battle Spins feature would resonate particularly with gaming audiences, while the game’s artwork and animation were designed to broaden its appeal.
Yggdrasil, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. The company operates the YGG Masters programme and its GATI technology platform alongside tools such as BOOST and its Game Engagement Mechanics portfolio.
