Yggdrasil has gone live with Major Miners, a mining-themed slot developed by SpinOn under its YGG Masters partnership programme, the company announced on 7th January 2025.

The game centres on a treasure-hunting theme in which players search a mine for hidden rewards. A key mechanic is the X-Pots Wheel Feature, which can trigger Mini, Minor, Major or Grand prizes worth up to 5,000 times the bet. The wheel can also activate a Multiplier Super-Bonus Round, adding a multiplier of up to 10x on top of the game’s standard bonus feature.

Bonus mechanics

Major Miners also includes a bonus round in which triggering symbols place bronze frames on the reel positions where they land. Additional bonus symbols appearing during the feature upgrade these frames from Bronze through Silver and Gold to Diamond, increasing the value of associated prizes as play continues. The game offers 243 ways to win, and according to SpinOn its jackpot potential reaches up to 10,000 times the stake.

The title runs on GATI, Yggdrasil’s proprietary development platform, which the company says provides partners with a standardised, regulation-ready toolkit intended to speed up content creation and distribution across its network.

Comment

Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said Major Miners was designed for players who enjoy immersive, treasure-hunting slots, and described it as a fitting title to open the YGG Masters release schedule for 2025.

A representative from SpinOn’s marketing team said the game combines bonus rounds, multipliers and the X-Pots Wheel feature, and described it as a strong addition to the studio’s portfolio as it looks to expand distribution through Yggdrasil’s operator network.

SpinOn is a Malta-based studio that joined the iGaming sector aiming to bring new, entertainment-focused slot content to market. Yggdrasil, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Sweden with additional offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar, operates the YGG Masters publishing programme alongside its own in-house game development.
