Star Pelaw to broadcast media meetings via SIS after Star Sports takeover

Star Sports has announced that Star Pelaw, formerly Pelaw Grange Greyhound Stadium in Chester-Le-Street, County Durham, will move its broadcast partnership from ARC to SIS for upcoming media meetings.

The switch follows this week’s earlier confirmation that Pelaw Grange has been rebranded as Star Pelaw after being acquired by Star Sports. Under the new arrangement with SIS, the venue aims to broadcast two full racecards each week.

The track’s Boxing Day meeting will also be televised on 26th December.

Comments from both parties

Ben Keith, owner of Star Sports, said the takeover announcement had generated strong feedback and interest, adding that preparations were underway for the venue’s first meeting under its new name. He confirmed that an opening fixture would be announced soon and thanked the SIS team for their support ahead of the partnership.

Paul Witten, Managing Director EMEA at SIS, said the company remained committed to providing a sustainable greyhound racing service for the sport’s stakeholders. He said the agreement with Star Sports would strengthen SIS’s content offering and expressed confidence in the partnership’s potential to make Star Pelaw a success.
