Thunderkick strikes CasinoMania deal to grow Italian footprint
Stockholm-based slots studio Thunderkick has signed a content partnership with Italian operator CasinoMania as part of a wider push to strengthen its position in Europe.
Thunderkick, the independent slots developer based in Stockholm, has agreed a partnership with CasinoMania, an online betting and casino brand operating under Cristaltec Group in Italy, the company announced.
The deal will see Thunderkick’s game portfolio integrated onto CasinoMania’s platform, giving the operator’s customers access to titles including recent releases Midas Golden Touch 2, King of the Party and Sword of Arthur, alongside established titles Xterminate and Hot Potato!
CasinoMania offers sports betting alongside a broad casino product range spanning live dealer games, table and card titles, and slots from multiple suppliers.
Part of wider European push
The agreement follows Thunderkick’s recent market entry in Ontario, Canada, and reflects a stated ambition to refocus growth efforts on key European territories, with Italy named as a priority market. The studio said its first six months of 2024 had gone well and that it now wants to build on that momentum by increasing its share of the Italian market.
Andrea Brioschi, Key Account Manager at Thunderkick, said the company remained committed to strengthening its position in European iGaming despite attention on its Ontario and US sweepstakes launches. He described CasinoMania as a respected Italian operator with an established games catalogue that Thunderkick’s titles would complement.
Calvi Lorenzo, Member of the Board of Directors at Cristaltec, said the partnership would let CasinoMania widen its games offering with high-quality content, adding that it reflected the group’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations in the sector.
About the companies
Thunderkick was founded in 2012 and now employs more than 80 staff working in-house, developing titles distributed through its own remote gaming server to operators including bet365, William Hill, LeoVegas, 888 Casino, Mr Green, PokerStars Casino, ComeOn, Unibet and Betsson. Its best-known games include Midas Golden Touch, Pink Elephants and Esqueleto Explosivo.
CasinoMania operates under parent company Cristaltec Group in the Italian market.
